For those who suspect that consciousness holds the key to healing, Badji’s Tales is an essential read. This memoir is a brave and unflinching look at the transformative power of psychedelics, not as a shortcut, but as a sacred and vital tool for encountering the Divine and healing our lives. The memoir begins with a life-altering LSD experience and unfolds into a lifetime of adventure and spiritual discovery. More than just a story of travel and mystical encounters, this book is a testament to the power of human resilience. It chronicles one man’s courageous quest to confront his deepest traumas, guided by a faith in the invisible world and a commitment to live as if everything is a miracle. Badji’s Tales shows that the greatest journey is not to the far reaches of the globe but to the inner landscape of the soul.

A perfect blend of a page-turning adventure and a soulful guide, Badji’s Tales is a must-read for anyone who loves a good story and suspects that there is invisible and magical support in the journey home to our true selves.

“I love this book. Sometimes I laughed so hard I had to stop reading or I wouldn’t be able to breathe. The synchronicities wove themselves through every story until the sense of magic filled my body. A tale of spiritual seeking, messy, chaotic, confusing and thrilling, where, in hindsight, the hand of the divine was clearly there the whole time. Would that we could all realize this as we adventure through life!”

About

Why “Badji”?

When my grandson Zander was born, I didn’t know what I wanted him to call me. One day when he was just two, I walked into the kitchen where he was nursing with his mom, Maria. He unlatched, looked around and said “Hi”. Maria looked at me and asked, “Who is this”? “Badji” he replied. “Who?”, Maria queried, “Badji” he answered emphatically, without hesitation. From that day on, I’ve been Badji to all of my grandchildren. A week later I was having dinner with friends. I told them of my “naming” and one of them said, “Isn’t ‘Ji’ an endearing suffix they add to people’s names in In India to show respect? His wife added, “And “Ba” could be a short form of “Baba”. I‘ve known teachers in India to be called Babaji. Maybe you were his Babaji in another life and his nickname for you was “Badji”?” All this was pure speculation, but it sure was fun!
